The last quarter of the year is truly one of the most fun with all the food, friends, and beautiful decorations. Unfortunately, it’s also one of the most expensive! As a lover of the holiday season on a budget, I thought I’d do us all a favor and round up some of my favorite Pinterest pins with ideas for holiday decor on a budget!
As with many things in life, inexpensive doesn’t have to mean bad. It just means creative and possibly requiring a little elbow grease! One of the traditions I’ve picked up in the last few years to keep my holiday decor on a budget is getting together with some friends and having a craft night where we pick a DIY decoration and put our own spin on it.

I love my readers and I plan on doing most of these myself at some point so I decided to be a bit choosey when it came to decorations I included in this post. I used 3 criteria for each post: they must be inexpensive, they must be something the average person can do, and of course, they must be cute.

Love these! Every year I try to use Christmas cards as decorations for as long as possible because honestly, cards are so beautiful and we discard them so quickly! I particularly like the green clothespin wreath because it’s a craft activity and it lets me put early-arriving cards up. 🙂
