Greetings, Adventurers! It’s the holiday season which means that lots of people are probably asking you what you’d like for the holidays. If you’re anything like me this question gives you little pocket-sized feeling of dread. What DO I want for the holidays?

Or, maybe you have an adventurous spirit in your life and you’re feeling stumped on what they could possibly want.

Enter the Freelancer Gift Guide. I have scoured the corners of the internet (or at least Amazon. Gotta love that Prime shipping!) collecting the best ideas of things that actual freelancers and work-at-home warriors would love to receive.

13 Top Gifts for the Entrepreneur in Your Life

Infuser water bottle

Drinking your recommended amount of water each day is so much more enjoyable when it tastes like cucumber, strawberries, or oranges. Not only does an infuser encourage you to stay hydrated, but it also adds vitamins and minerals.

Noise Canceling Headphones

Freelancers can work from just about anywhere but most anywhere’s are quite noisy. Noise-canceling headphones allow for distraction-free work even when that 4-year-old in the coffee shop won’t stop screaming. The freelancer in your life won’t stop thanking you for these!

Mug Warmer

For all those long nights hustling away, a mug warmer will make sure their coffee stays warm, even hours later when they remember they made cup…

Coffee Maker

Speaking of a nice warm cuppa, Ninja coffee maker is a great home office companion for making everything from coffee to hot chocolate. I love that it comes with its own reusable coffee filter and has the ability to make small batches and pause mid-brewing.

Standing Desk/Converter Platform

Standing desks are all the rage right now for their health benefits. For all that, I still like having the option of sitting as well when days start to go long. My fav solution? An adjustable standing desk converter. The hydraulic spring legs allow you to raise the desk when you want to stand and lower it when you want to sit.

Sitting Bed Pillow

One of the best benefits of working from home is the ability to work right from your bed. After a little while though the pillows start to go flat and your neck starts to hurt. Not so with the sitting bed pillow! It will keep you propped up and ready for work… or reading… or playing video games, for hours!

Lap Desk

Another big upgrade for the work-from-bed set, a good lap desk to protect your legs from laptop heat and give you a place to use your mouse.

Extra Long Phone Charger

Nothing feels worse in-the-moment than trying to use your phone while it charges and not being able to reach a comfy sitting position. An extra-long phone charging cord will have the freelancer in your life singing your praises on social media from their bed (okay I might just be sleepy with all this bed talk) with a charging phone.

External Hard drive

Regularly backing up your files is key to avoiding stress when your harddrive invariably fails in the middle of working on a big client project. A portable hard drive is excellent for this!

A plant

Seriously. Your work-at-home friend probably doesn’t leave their home as often as they should and a plant will do wonders for both improving the air quality and their mood. Yay greenery!

The Gift of KNOWLEDGE

I’m a BIG fan of giving and receiving books as presents. I’ve written about some of my favorite personal finance-related and productivity books but really any book would make an awesome gift. Physical books aren’t the only way of enjoying books though, of course.

Kindle

The kindle is a great way of reading and referencing an entire library worth of books on a lightweight reader. It also allows you to subscribe to Kindle Unlimited which is a service giving access to 1 million books, magazines, and audiobooks! (Plus if you sign-up through my link you’ll get 1-month free :D)

Audible

When you aren’t able to actually read, (driving, jogging, people are sleeping around you) audiobooks are a great alternative. Nobody does audiobooks better than Audible. With an audible subscription, your favorite entrepreneur will get 1 audiobook and 2 Audible Originals a month of their choosing from Audibles ridiculously huge catalog.

Skillshare

Skillshare is an online learning community with thousands of classes in design, business, tech, and more. It is honestly the best resource I’ve found for learning just about anything business or creativity related in 2019. With my link, you get 2 months of free access to over 25,000 classes. Go ahead and get this gift for yourself too. I won’t tell 😉
